By using lanscan24.life you accept the terms below. They are deliberately short.
1. What this site is
LANScan24 publishes independent editorial guides about network scanning and network mapping software. It is documentation and opinion, not professional advice, and not a substitute for the vendor's own documentation or support.
2. No warranty
The content is provided "as is". We take care to be accurate and we correct errors when they are reported, but software changes constantly: menus move, features are renamed, licence tiers are restructured. We do not warrant that anything here is complete, current or fit for your particular situation, and we accept no liability for loss arising from acting on it. If a step here disagrees with the vendor's documentation, the vendor is right.
3. Authorised use only
The tools described on this site discover devices, enumerate shares and query network equipment. Running them against networks or systems you do not own or administer may constitute unauthorised access under computer-misuse legislation in your jurisdiction, and almost certainly breaches your employer's or ISP's acceptable-use policy.
All guidance here assumes you have the right to scan the network in question. You are solely responsible for obtaining authorisation — in writing — before you scan, and for complying with all applicable law. We accept no responsibility for misuse.
4. Software downloads
We host no installers. Every download link points at the software vendor's own website, and your use of their software is governed by their licence agreement, not by these terms. Verify checksums and signatures published by the vendor before installing anything.
5. Trademarks and screenshots
Angry IP Scanner, LizardSystems, Network Scanner, SolarWinds and Engineer's Toolset, together with all other product names and logos mentioned here, are trademarks of their respective owners. LANScan24 is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them.
Product screenshots are the copyright of the respective vendors and are reproduced nominatively — to identify and illustrate the software being described — with each source credited on the about page. Rights holders may request removal of any image via the contact page and it will be removed.
6. Our content
The written text, comparison tables, layout and design of this site are our own work. You may quote short extracts with a visible link back. Wholesale copying, republishing or feeding the pages into a scraped content site is not permitted.
7. External links
Links to vendor and third-party sites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, downloads or privacy practices.
8. Changes
These terms may be updated; the date above always reflects the current version. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of it.
